Soulful Sunday

So much has happened the past few weeks, but one thing is certain, I will be able to write more. I worked a  little this morning, well more than a little, but this is a day to be at peace and the rest of the day is going to be just that.

I bought this little wire coated bar and thought to myself, this will be the perfect place to hang my potholders.  It ended up being used for all those crafts that end up on the kitchen counters.  So I have hung all those crafts until I find that perfect or not so perfect home.  I might just need another one.

I have worked on the owls that you see for several days. I think I have perfected it.  Always an issue with me, is it ever going to be perfect enough to share with the world?

As I write the instructions to the pattern, I realize, if I can hang it and look at it and smile, it is perfect enough.

Shoe Sole

My great niece wants a pair of slippers that she can wear outside.  Most important, is she wants a crochet peacock feather.

I spent two weeks going back and forth with this.  I finally found a vintage craft book with a pattern for making jute soles.

I spent all day yesterday working with the pattern and finally was able to get the sole started.

Have you ever noticed that when you just kinda stop caring, that things just fall into place.  That is how I feel today about my mad Monday.  It will get done, stop putting so much pressure on yourself.  I spend more time worrying about what I can't get done that the things I do get done are not appreciated.

Today, I did get a lot done with an I don't care attitude.

Not that I am recommending that philosophy, but sometimes for me, I just need a break from the urgent...
