Truthful Tuesdays

I wasn't much into the granny square back in the 70's. Especially those vest.  There are so many variations for the granny now and they are so simplistic to make that I am on a mission to create as much as I can from a granny square. I guess the vest has made it's way back, but I still cringe when I see them.

Here is how I remember them.  Guess they would be cute with a pair of shorts and as a crop top.  I still do not want to attempt one of these, but all the other Granny variables, here I come.

Mad Monday

I just realized, I have worked 12 hours today and need to call it a day.  I have planned to work on a crochet project that involves a turtle.  Don't ask, they just image in my mind and then I am on a mission.

I ran across a vintage sewing pattern that has a turtle on it and this has inspired me to make something colorful and whimsical.

My evening will be putting together a pattern.

Soulful Sunday

So much has happened the past few weeks, but one thing is certain, I will be able to write more. I worked a  little this morning, well more than a little, but this is a day to be at peace and the rest of the day is going to be just that.

I bought this little wire coated bar and thought to myself, this will be the perfect place to hang my potholders.  It ended up being used for all those crafts that end up on the kitchen counters.  So I have hung all those crafts until I find that perfect or not so perfect home.  I might just need another one.

I have worked on the owls that you see for several days. I think I have perfected it.  Always an issue with me, is it ever going to be perfect enough to share with the world?

As I write the instructions to the pattern, I realize, if I can hang it and look at it and smile, it is perfect enough.
