My great niece wants a pair of slippers that she can wear outside. Most important, is she wants a crochet peacock feather.
I spent two weeks going back and forth with this. I finally found a vintage craft book with a pattern for making jute soles.
I spent all day yesterday working with the pattern and finally was able to get the sole started.
Have you ever noticed that when you just kinda stop caring, that things just fall into place. That is how I feel today about my mad Monday. It will get done, stop putting so much pressure on yourself. I spend more time worrying about what I can't get done that the things I do get done are not appreciated.
Today, I did get a lot done with an I don't care attitude.
Not that I am recommending that philosophy, but sometimes for me, I just need a break from the urgent...

Crochet Latex Gloves
I finally found a product to clean the calcium off my my teapot. I am not much of a shopper. I think the reason is because I get so overwhelmed with it. I look at something and think to myself, "I could do this, or that." A small run to the store ends up being hours.
This trip I ended up picking up the calcium remover and I kept passing the latex gloves. I usually only use them to protect my manicure, but I kept looking at them thinking how multi-functional they are. For cleaning, gardening, cooking. So many ideas ran through my head.
I had to pick up a pair. I don't know about everyone else but when I get stressed, there is nothing like washing dishes by hand to relieve the tension. The warmth of the water is so relaxing.
The pots and pans are a different story at times, so I like to protect my manicure on my nails.
I came home and pulled out the hook and dolled up my latex gloves.
All these years, I could have cleaned in style. Now to do a pair for the bathroom.

This is what I call a moss stitch. So easy but so dramatic.
